What this test checks

This perceptual gaming test checks stereo tracking, transient detail, separation and timbre recognition. One wrong answer does not prove that a headset is defective; confirm any concern with the left-right, phase and frequency tests.

Understand your results and improve your setup

A good test should not stop at a score. Use these practical checks to understand what the browser measured, what can affect the result, and what to change before your next call, stream or gaming session.

Purpose

The FPS test challenges rapid recognition and spatial listening using short game-style sound cues. It is meant to reveal obvious channel, localisation or audibility problems rather than rank competitive skill.

Best conditions

Use headphones, disable spatial enhancements only if you want a neutral baseline, and keep a comfortable volume. Retest with your normal gaming processing afterward if desired.

Why CamMicGo goes further

  • Private by design: tests and recordings are processed locally in your browser whenever possible.
  • Multilingual by design: the same diagnostics and explanations are available across CamMicGo languages.
  • Practical diagnostics: CamMicGo focuses on repeatable browser measurements and explains their limits instead of presenting them as laboratory certification.
