CPU load & stability check

CPU Load Test

Put one or more logical processor threads under a controlled browser load and watch whether throughput holds steady or falls over time.

This is not a benchmark. The passes-per-second figures are produced by this browser, on this machine, during this run. They are useful for comparing the machine against itself over time, not against another computer or a leaderboard.

Test setup

Choose how much of the processor the browser should keep busy.

What to look for

A line that stays level

A persistent step down can be consistent with thermal throttling, a power limit, battery saver or competing background work.

Single vs multi

Different questions

One thread is a lighter sustained load. All reported threads are more useful for checking cooling response and stability under heavy browser work.

Browser limits

What we cannot read

A web page cannot reliably read CPU temperature, clock speed or fan RPM. Use a local hardware monitor if you need those values.

Keep this tab visible while testing. Browsers can throttle background tabs.
